 Reflections By Dr. Richard Reed

September 1, 2007

School has started, our Fall ministries, FEAST groups, and Fall Festival plans are all in full swing, and our life as a congregation continues to serve God and experience God’s blessings.  One of the basic truths that supports all that we do at St. Andrew’s is that each ministry, program and form of outreach is bathed in prayer.  We know the importance of lifting up all we do to God in prayer.

My prayer is that each day all of us will lift up to God our hopes, dreams, and visions.  I want to share with you a prayer written by James Elsing.  It is a prayer that reflects God’s plan for all of us as we listen to the guiding of the Holy Spirit.

Dear God, I pray for all the people who believe, I also pray for the all people who do not, I pray that Your Blessing for today may be upon us.

Lord I pray that we will not suffer from want, that we will be blessed with what we need.

Dear God I pray also, that when You raise us up, we will thank Thee, and when You set us down, we will also thank Thee.

I pray for all Your chosen, may their burden be lightened and may their Faith continuely be renewed.

Dear God I pray and ask for things in the Name of Your Son, The Lord Jesus Christ.

For Your Wisdom, Knowlege and Understanding are Great and Your Love Devine.
Amen
.

May the blessings and joy of God abide in your             heart as we serve together.

                                            Grace andPeace,

                                            Pastor Richard
